Regenerative Therapy

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP):

Equine Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a regenerative treatment that harnesses the healing power of a horse's own blood to promote tissue repair and reduce inflammation. The process of Equine PRP involves blood collection and centrifugation to obtain a concentrated amount of platelet rich plasma. Platelets play a crucial role in tissue repair and contain growth factors that stimulate healing. The PRP is then administered directly to the affected area of the horse’s body.

Equine Pro-stride (Autologous Protein Solution):

ProStride is an advanced regenerative therapy designed to promote healing and alleviate pain in horses. Blood is collected and processed using a special kit and centrifuge. The separation process yields three main components: plasma (the liquid portion of the blood), platelets (which are rich in growth factors), and white blood cells. The cells, platelets, growth factors and anti-inflammatory cytokines are concentrated into a solution which can then be used to treat causes of lameness, such as osteoarthritis, and relieve pain and inflammation.

Alpha 2 Macroglobulin (A2M):

Alpha-2-Macroglobulin (A2M) is a large protein that circulates in the bloodstream of horses. It is part of the innate immune system, acting as a defense mechanism against inflammation and tissue damage. When a horse experiences an injury or inflammation in its joints, such as due to osteoarthritis, the body's natural response is to release inflammatory molecules known as cytokines. These cytokines contribute to the inflammation and degradation of joint tissues. Equine A2M plays a unique role in neutralizing the harmful effects of these cytokines. When inflammatory cytokines are released in response to an injury or inflammation, A2M binds to them, essentially "capturing" and inactivating them. By binding to and neutralizing inflammatorycytokines, A2M helps protect the horse's joint tissues from further damage. This process can reduce the progression of joint degeneration and alleviate pain associated with conditions like osteoarthritis. By processing the horse’s own blood using a special kit and centrifuge, the alpha 2macroglobulin protein is isolated and used to treat inflammation and pain related to lameness.
