Established in 1987 by Dr. Michael Reilly, Connecticut Equine Clinic has been providing high quality, reliable care to the horses of Coventry and the surrounding area for almost 30 years. It is a primarily ambulatory, three doctor practice with a wide range of expertise including sports medicine/lameness, wellness, internal medicine, urgent care, dentistry, podiatry and reproduction. We offer state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment modalities both at our clinic and in the field. Our clinic is equipped with a treatment area where we can perform a variety of procedures such as gastroscopy and reproductive examinations.

We believe that preventative care is of utmost importance to maintain your horse’s health and well-being. At Connecticut Equine Clinic, we offer a full array of services to support your horse including geriatric care, vaccination programs, dentistry, parasite control strategies and nutrition consultations.

At Connecticut Equine Clinic our sports medicine and lameness service includes digital radiography, and digital ultrasound which improve the speed and efficiency of diagnosing musculoskeletal injuries. We also offer a wide range of treatment options including shockwave therapy and regenerative therapy (IRAP). Our veterinarians are happy to consult with your farrier regarding corrective shoeing and trimming. Dr. Sears, in addition to being a veterinarian, is a trained farrier and specializes in podiatry and therapeutic shoeing.

Connecticut Equine Clinic offers 24 hour emergency service to our clients. We also maintain close working relationships with local referral hospitals for consultation and referral.
